Healthy snacks are a vital part of any healthy living regimen. In my opinion, they are key to evening out blood sugar highs and lows, which are so common these days, whilst providing energy and brain food and importantly balancing mood. Take a look at these sugar-free, gluten-free, nutrient-packed recipes for healthy snacking inspiration.

Nutty about nuts

Nuts are a nutritious snack, perfect for mid-morning or afternoon when your energy levels start to dip. I sometimes get bored of eating unflavoured raw nuts so for a welcome change try roasting nuts with antioxidant-rich spices or herbs. In the correct quantity, nuts aren't fattening and research has shown that people that nibble on nuts as snacks eat less overall. Get nutty people!
