7 Full Body Workouts: No Gym Required

Fun ways to get a complete workout.

We all need a small amount of exercise to be fit and healthy. How we go about getting this exercise however need not be dull, nor does it need to include setting foot inside a gym. Most of these workouts can be done at home so you can easily fit it into your busy schedule. So whether you enjoy yoga, Zumba or cycling there's something here for you.

1. A traditional workout

This workout was created by Nina Cherie a research scientist, exercise physiologist & nutritionist. It can be done at home or in the gym, and combines free-weight and callisthenic resistance exercises with cardio for a complete, full-body workout.

2. Zumba

This full body Zumba workout is led by Zumba instructor, Laura Micklich. It's just over 13 minutes long and is suitable for beginners. You will need Zumba toning sticks or 1 lb weights to complete the routine.

3. Pilates

This is a 40 minute full body pilates workout video by Alisa Wyatt. It is not recommended for beginners, but you can find more videos on Alisa’s website pilatesology.com .

4. Yoga

When You Only Have 20 Minutes: Total Body Yoga Sequence

Start this workout with the downward facing dog, butterfly and wheel yoga poses. You can then move onto the main portion of the workout which should take no longer than 20 minutes. There are videos and photos to guide you through all the poses.

5. Capoeira

This workout, created by celebrity trainer Brett Hoebel consists of just four exercises; capoeira reverse lunge and push kick, capoeira crawl, jujitsu step-through, and capoeira sit-up to half handstand. It can make you leaner, stronger and lighter in less than a month when done four times a week.
